 An accredited member of the American Acadamy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), Dr. Jerry Bellen is one of only 250 dentists worldwide (and one of only 3 in San Francisco) to enjoy this prestigious certification. His artistry, experience, and mastery of dental function led to the invitation to share his expertise as an Examiner for the AACD Accreditation Review Board, as well as his recent election to the Board of Directors. Dr. Bellen's dental career began in the U.S. Navy in 1963 as a Chairside Dental Assistant, with concurrent training and certification as a Dental Laboratory Technician. He received his D.D.S. from the University of California, San Francisco in 1976. During the 25 years he has been in practice, Dr. Bellen has continued his studies in the rapidly evolving science of aesthetic dentistry in order to bring his patients the latest technological advancements. He is a true artisan with the sensibilities of a sculptor. Dr. Bellen is a member of the San Francisco Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Operative Dentistry. He participates in the AACD-sponsored Give Back a Smile program which provides treatment to victims of domestic abuse. Considered the professional’s professional, he is often consulted for his expertise by colleagues across the country. Dr. Bellen is an active member of the community and enjoys the symphony, modern art, Eastern philosophy, and historical novels. He is also an avid hiker and backpacker who loves to cook gourmet meals. Weekends will usually find him exploring the Bay Area back roads by motorcycle. |
